Become the largest healthcare engagement platform in the US: With this acquisition, WebMD Ignite expands its team to over 500 professionals, solidifying its position as the leading platform for healthcare growth and engagement.
Empower patients to make informed decisions: WebMD’s vision of improving healthcare through patient engagement aligns with Healthwise’s mission of providing clear and accessible health information. This combined offering empowers patients to actively participate in their healthcare journeys.
The Healthwise Board of Directors will remain independent and focus on establishing a new non-profit entity dedicated to empowering individuals to make informed health choices, operating outside the payer and provider space. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
